Ecoworks Community Garden

A Community Garden based in Nottingham
Started:
1991
Our Community Garden is part of St Anns Allotments in Nottingham. We aim to improve mental health and the environment by
providing a safe, welcoming and supportive space for people to take part in meaningful activities. Our user led projects enable people facing disadvantage to take part in organic gardening, green building, seasonal garden cooking,
eco-crafts and willow basketry, wildlife conservation and art. Our work is underpinned by permaculture ethics and principles. We work closely with referral agencies to ensure our services are accessible for the most vulnerable members of our society.
• Projects we currently run are
• Dig and Dinner (social inclusion through growing, preparing, and eating food together)
• Willaxation (a therapeutic environmental initiative where participants grow, harvest and craft willow).
• The Lightbulb project (which has recently rebuilt an old shed to become a studio for art and craft activities).
