The Permaculture Association have arranged with Paul Sandford of Albert Square Mediation Limited (ASM) that he will if required undertake voluntary, pro bono, online (Skype) mediations for our organisation.

On the 1st September 2016 Edinburgh Napier University’s Callum Egan and Prof. David Benyon hosted a workshop sponsored by the Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance (SICSA) and the Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction United Kingdom (SIGCHI UK) titled: Sustainability in Human-Computer Interaction: Insights from Permaculture.

As part of ScotLAND we are excited to announce the opportunity to take part in our Group Visit Scheme. The scheme provides the chance to learn about permaculture in practice by visiting a ScotLAND Centre.

We are excited to announce our 2017 Permaculture Scotland gathering will be held on the 30th June-2nd July. Our fantastic venue will be the Hidden Mill in Galloway, a 15 acre permaculture small-holding and ScotLAND Learner. More details to follow soon, get it in you diary now!

The Permaculture Association is sad to hear of the death of Bill Mollison in Sisters Creek, Tasmania, on the 24th September 2016. Bill was co-founder of the permaculture movement, and will be very sadly missed by his many thousands of students, and by practitioners, designers and educators in organisations and projects in over 140 countries around the world. We send our sincere condolences to his family.

I really had no desire to be a missionary myself, to change the people there or convert them to anything, but seeing their beautiful smiles, I just knew I wanted to live where they lived one day."

The Permaculture Scotland Working Group met in Dumfries to celebrate the success of the gathering in June and to learn more about sociocracy and how we can apply it to our Working Group.
